At Golden Grove Primary, we try to encourage our learners to consider be thankful for all that they have, and to consider the less fortunate. Every second week, various grades take turns to collect loaves of bread. The collected loaves of bread are then donated to a charity, organisation or school of the grade teachers’ collective choice.  For most families, this loaf of bread is an absolute blessing and their sincere gratitude cannot even be put into words. We appeal to parents to assist when it is your child’s turn, and we thank and salute the parents and learners who have already contributed so generously. May we always remember to be thankful for what we have and aspire to continue being so generous and caring.
